The upcoming Shiney Ahuja starrer movie Ghost if offered with complete censorial action because of its too much gore content, and thus that was the prime reason which encouraged the board to formulate harsh cuts.

Director Puja Jatinder Bedi states that a few of the cuts have been baseless chopped down by the board. Puja Bedi said that the censor board had chopped down one of the most significant scenes in her movie, where the ghost gets crucified like Jesus Christ, and this particular scene was exceptionally essential for the story.

Further she added that the censor board thought that the crucifixion would upset spiritual feelings of the Christian commune. Not only this but as well as the rough treatment was being carried out on a woman in the movie. The blood and gore content is towering enough for
Ghost to be rated as the most brutal movie ever, as a result the censors have chopped down all the murder scenes in the movie, director Puja Bedi added.
On the other hand, when contacted the censor board's regional officer of Mumbai, J.P. Singh, he stated that the crucifixion scene had just been trimmed down, and not completely chopped down.

Mr Singh said that the scene is still there in the movie; as just the required length of it has been trimmed down to decrease the shock of the severe violence shown on a young woman. Further added that the tentative board has granted only 5-6 cuts in the movie, which all of them were exceptionally violent. Scenes such as showing a dead body's legs being cut, and a terribly brutal scene that shows a young woman getting beaten for an incredibly elongated time by a lot of people, were few among the others which were cut and trimmed.
