Jagjit Singh sung his last song for Anandache Dohi

No. Of Views : 2844

Dated : October, 13, 2011 BY
Marathi moviemaker Ashish Ubale was on the seventh heaven when renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh approved to provide his 'golden voice' for a song in his forthcoming movie ‘Anandache Dohi’. On the other hand, the pleasure was for a short-term only, as the song has as well become the legend's last movie song. Jagjit Singh recorded the song ‘Tuzhya mule aala, nava arth majhya jeevanala’ approximately 7 months before. The song is picturized on versatile actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, who enacted as M. K. Gandhi in Rajukumar Hirani’s ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. Jagjit Singh Director Ubale quoted that working in the company of Jagjit Singh was gaining knowledge kind of procedure. The filmmaker recalled that he was actually taken aback in the midst of the hard work Singh had actually putted in for attaining the correct Marathi pronunciations and certain words perfectly, and thus he would say again each and every phrase 5 to 6 times earlier than the recording. Ubale said he had risen up by hearing to Jagjit Singh's ghazals, which had touched his heart. He remembered that when music composer Amar Haldipur requested that if they could offer Jagjitji for the movie, Ubale said that he right away said why not, we can make an attempt. And thus to the surprise, Ubale expresses his happiness that Singh approved straight away. The moviemaker portrays Singh as a simple human being, a mannerism which replicated in his voice. He says that Singh might have come across as a serious human being, but once he was between his closest buddies, he would open-up and was filled with wittiness and funniness.
