Rajesh Khanna'a alleged live-in partner, Anita Advani, had recently filed a case in court against Kaka's family, which includes wife Dimple Kapadia, daughters Twinkle Khanna and Rinki Khanna, and Twinkle's husband as son-in-law Akshay Kumar. She claimed in undergoing the domestic violence given by Khanna's family, and thus demanded some of her needs for the damage.
In her appeal to a city court in Mumbai, Advani stated she was forcefully made to leave from Khanna's bungalow Aashirwaad, and thus, this forceful eviction comes under the provisions of the Domestic Violence act.
Manohar Shetty, Advani's lawyer, stated that her client had demanded Rs. 10 lakh per month for maintenance, Rs. 10 lakh for causing mental suffering and physical assault, and also the ownership of Aashirwad. He further added that if the court is unable to grant her the house, then she wants Rs. 50 crore in its place, or a house of the same level in that same locality. The notice has already been issued to Khanna's family and the hearing of the case is on November 27, 2012, added by the lawyer Manohar Shetty.
When Anita was quizzed that why she moved to court after a gap of four months from Khanna's death, then the alleged live-in partner of Kaka just said that she was not well, was hurt, depressed and devastated.
