What is Machine Gun Preacher all about?
Gerard Butler’s back on the silver screen after last year’s disaster movie, The Bounty Hunter with Jennifer Aniston. The comedy flick was a bad movie that he normally does after doing some good movies. But anyways he is back with a biopic movie called The Machine Gun Preacher and the trailer looked good and promising to me. But what I have heard and seen from the response from the critics in US where the movie has released, the movie has received mostly bad reviews.
But still I expect it to be good considering our Bollywood standards. And I quite loved the trailer and the solid premise of the movie. The movie has been written by Jason Keller, directed by Marc Forster and stars the handsome actor Gerard Butler.
So what is the story of Machine Gun Preacher?
Read here:
Machine Gun Preacher basically is the true story of a man named Sam Childers. He was basically a drug-dealer criminal who because of an incident goes through a big change of heart, a transition in his life that alters what he has been doing for years. And what is that incident, well that is the crux of the story and then how he goes ahead to save hundreds of kidnapped and orphaned children.
The plot sounds decent enough and with Gerard Butler in the movie, it looks exciting and the director is one of the most exciting talents in the recent past. Marc Foster is the director who has done movies like Stranger than Fiction, Finding Neverland, Quantum Of Solace, The Kite Runner and many more. He is one of the most celebrated directors in the recent past and I have loved most of his work in the past. So I would expect him to have done a good job.
So I am surely going to watch The Machine Gun Preacher, will you be going. Well give us your views in the comments section below.
