The British Phonographic Industry or the BRIT awards were held on 21st February 2012 and this was the 32nd edition of the awards. The awards are held every year and special talent from the music industry from all over the world is applauded on the stage. The awards were held at the O2 Arena in London and this venue was chosen for the second time.

The awards ceremony was presented by James Corden. And the most number of nominations were for Ed Sheeran who was nominated for four BRIT awards, and whereas Adele and Jessie J had three nominations, and that was followed by Bon Iver, Aloe Blacc, Coldplay and Florence and the Machine with two nominations each.

And apart from all the performances and awards, there occurred a huge controversy at the awards. As Adele gave the finger when she was cut while she was giving a speech as she was accepting the award for Mastercard British Album of the Year. Some say that the gesture was towards the fans, but Adele said that the gesture was aimed at “the suits”, not her fans.  Well apart from Adele giving the finger there was no other controversy. The function went smoothly and the performances were amazing. And also Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston received remembrance tributes due to both musicians passing away in 2011 and 2012.

Well here is the list of The BRIT Awards 2012 winners
