Ang Lee's Life Of Pi collects 19.5 cr over weekend

Ang Lee's astounding movie 'Life Of Pi' recently released on 23rd of November in 2D and 3D in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across theatres in India. The movie had received overwhelming response from all over, by having a collection of Rs. 5 crores gross in its just first day. However the spectacular film is going still strong and had garnered a total of Rs 19.5 crores (gross) over weekend.

Well not only this, Life Of Pi has bagged the 4th biggest opening weekend of the year, and the 6th highest of all the time. Along with this, it is also being tagged as the 2nd highest opening of all the time for Fox Star Studios after the award-winning movie 'Avatar.'

Oscar winning filmmaker Ang Lee's visual masterpiece had gained the admiring figures, in spite of the concurrent release of the last part of a well-liked vampire franchise and as well the two Bollywood biggies that released during Diwali.

The 3D adventurous venture, Life Of Pi, had not only gathered critical acclaim from critics and moviegoers, but as well lots of Bollywood's celebrities such as Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, A R Rahman, Kunal Kohli, Chetan Bhagat, and so on didn't stop themselves in praising the film through their various social media platforms.
