Rajat Kapoor got a better recognition in Bollywood industry after being part of Dil Chahta Hai, while he also got internationally noticed in Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding. However along with acting, Rajat was also seen directing a couple of movies such as 'Nothing Like Lear' and 'Fatso!'. The actor turned director who will soon be seen in Sharat Katariya's upcoming directorial venture '10ml Love', reveals that the task of direction is an altogether different beast to tackle.
Interestingly, the actor-director-screenwriter, Rajat believes that a director needs to be strong enough to become successful. He expresses that filmmaking is pretty much tough job, because a director needs to have self-confidence and ability to present his ideas among the producers, cameraman, production designers and as well as to the star cast.
The 50-year-old star shares from his personal experience that for a director, a film is like a joint effort by many people, and thus if these all people are not clear about directors vision, then the film can't be made. Interestingly, this imbalance makes the task of direction more challenging, added the actor.
Rajat Kapoor was seen in recent hit movies like Phas Gaya Re Obama and so on. Meanwhile, he has been paired with Tisca Chopra in Sharat Katariys's '10ml Love', which will hit theaters on December 7. A modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare's novel 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', feature film '10ml Love' is a light hearted romantic comedy.
