The movie revolves around a gang of friends of different nationalities and personalities. How they work together and put up a united front to revenge the death of their friend forms the crux of the story which is incidentally rife with action and violence.
Right from the beginning the pace of the movie has been well set. The movie opens with a scene in Nepal where the gang of expendables reaches to save the people. After an amazing action sequence where you can enjoy the sight of authentic looking war trucks well equipped with ammunition.
The group consisting of Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, Yin Yang, Jensen, Hale Caesar, Toll Road, Billy. While trying to rescue a rich Chinese citizen Billy gets kills. Nonetheless, the Chinese was safely escorted to his home by Yin.
The plot then progresses as the team move ahead on their next adventure and during the course of their travel they are assisted by Maggie Chan who was a Chinese technical expert who later became a part of their group. They are out on a new mission to fight against a deadly villain aptly called Jean Vilian who plots hires local Russians to work in mines and later kills them mercilessly. In their thirst for vengeance the team hunts down the villain and after a series of action sequence they emerge victorious.
Screenplay And Action Review:
The action sequence will hold you captivated. A few scenes will surely make you feel the goose bumps. Right from war trucks, to helicopters and fast moving planes. The movie has it all. The high and mighty superstars of Hollywood are part of this amazing action adventure, they add life to the plot and make every minute of the movie worth watching. The direction is also excellent and the team has done a much better job when compared to the presequel. The background score and music is also captivating and matches the pace of the movie. The song "I just want to celebrate" is remarkable and full of spark. Foot tapping and full of energy, this song is simply the best the film has to offer.
Highlight of the movie:
Although there are many scenes worth mentioning, yet the climax and the man to man fight between Barney Ross and the Jean Vilian will surely make you bite your nails in apprehension.
Although all the sequences were worth watching, this particular sequence gave you the full worth of your money.
The movie is worth watching for people who love action. It has the perfect blend of ingredients required to dish out an action thriller with class. A smattering of strategically made one liner only added punch to the plot. Surely worth every penny spent.
