Ratings of the music here can be given as 4 stars.

Music album of the original movie 'Aashiqui' will remain as one of the best ever soundtracks in the history of Hindi film industry, where all the credits goes to T-Series, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, composers Nadeem-Shravan, lyricist Sameer, and singers like Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal. Aashiqui 2 Poster

Tum Hi Ho...

The album kicks-off with the very first song 'Tum Hi Ho' that immediately catches the fancy of the music lovers. Sung by promising Arijit Singh in his touching and emotional base vocals, the track grabs attention right away when it starts, and becomes better and better in each and every repetitive hearing. Lyrics by Mithoon too are refined and heart-touching.

Meri Aashiqui...

The reprise version, 'Meri Aashiqui', is a duet song where Palak Muchal gives Arijit Singh a wonderful company. This one is as good as the original, which also successfully creates a nostalgic feeling.

Sunn Raha Hai Tu... (Male Version)

The budding composer Ankit Tiwari, who had impressed in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, proves yet again his talent with the unmatched song, 'Sunn Raha Hai Tu'. Well Ankit not only composes here, but also croons this utterly classy piece with flair. Lyrics done by Sandeep Nath are excellent, and also one of the USP of the song. A Chartbusting indeed!

Sunn Raha Hai Tu... (Female Version)

The female version of 'Sunn Raha Hai' is being sung by Shreya Ghoshal in its uplifting perfection. It's yet again a treat to the ears, as one would feel in the above male version.

Chahun Main Yaa Na...

With ''Chahun Main Yaa Na'', the romantic and music mood is being carried forward. Composed by Jeet Ganguly, it's one of the finest love duets of the year, with singers like Arijit Singh and Palak Muchal have sung in an exemplary manner. Furthermore, the lyrics of the song are once again the best part here, which takes the album to a much higher note.

Hum Mar Jayenge...

Sung by Tulsi Kumar along with Arijit, the song 'Hum Mar Jayenge' showcases the skills of singers here. The melody and musical arrangements sound retro, which includes customary instruments such as flute, dholak and so on, reminds us the magic of Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Irshad Kamil's lyrics are exceptional and express the strong feelings of the central characters.

Piya Aaye Na...

'Piya Aaye Na' narrates the theme of separation, and thus beautiful violin strings steers in the sad sober here. Composer Jeet Ganguly chooses the musical song in a flowing manner, particularly the wonderful chorus. Singer K.K does what he is best at and excels as always, wherein Tulsi Kumar too puts her impressive bit here.

Bhula Dena...

'Bhula Dena' is a song that has the trademark of a Mustafa Zahid heartbreaking composition, and will certainly make an impact, as always. The heart rending separation aka 'judaai' number has been portrayed very well through some touching words by lyricist Sanjay Masoom, along with fabulous soft rock arrangements. According to Zahid, 'This track appears in the climax of the film. I promised Mohit that I'll make the audience cry when they walk out!'

Asaan Nahin Yahan...

Sung by Arijit Singh, 'Asaan Nahin Yahan' fails a bit to make an impression, as it gives a feeling that this particular song doesn't matches the cult movie. Although the lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil, where the actual and true meaning of the divine word 'Aashiqui' is being described very beautifully, lifts up the standard.

Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi...

'Milne Hai Mujhse Aayi' is a typical romantic number, and thus one can be name it as an average track. Arijit Singh fails to deliver in his rock avatar. However, yet again, lyrics here play a very impressive role.

Aashiqui (The Love Theme)

'Aashiqui' (The Love Theme) is an outstanding instrumental track, which is being composed by Mithoon. It brings the album to its finishing line in a remarkable and fabulous suitable end!

It is certainly a wonderful and magnetic experience to simply hear the songs of AASHIQUI 2, especially with close eyes, as one would just imagine many beautiful things. The music album of AASHQUI 2 is without any doubt a treat for all music buffs. A chartbusting musical experience indeed! Makers of the sequel had for sure re-created the charm and beauty of the original in its own manner! A Love Anthem of the year!

Our Pick(s)

Although 'All the songs' to certain level, but 'Tum Hi Ho' and 'Sunn Raha Hai' (both versions), along with 'Bhula Dena', 'Meri Aashiqui' and 'Piya Aaye Na'
