'Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan' is directed by Rajiv Chilaka and is been produced by his own banner Green Gold Animations Pvt. Ltd. It is touted as the India's first animated series which is now to be finally featured in a full-length movie.

Green Gold had won the hearts of the children's of India in the company of its well-liked shows such as Chhota Bheem, Krishna Balram and Chhor Police. With more than 200 episodes of Animation content, Green Gold is at present India's number one animation content provider to the kid's television channels such as Cartoon Network, Pogo and Hungama (Disney).

Chhota Bheem has turned out to be a trend in India and is the leading kid's favorite character challenging with the finest of the world. It is as well a proven licensing and merchandising brand with over 200 products released till date.

TV series of 'Chhota Bheem' is the winner of the Best Animated TV Series from CNBC Gold Cursor Animation Award 2009 and as well Dada Saheb Phalke Award 2011 for Best Professional Animation.



Nine-year-old boy, Bheem, is a fearless, strong, clever, adventurous and joyful. He loves food, especially Ladoos and Bananas. He becomes stronger than his normal self whenever he eats his favorites items such as Ladoos. Despite the fact that he is just a small kid, Bheem is stronger than most other men. Bheem is for all the time there to help the poor and needy.


Ten-year-old boy, Kalia or Kalia Pehalwan, is huge and strong. His character is based on the famous Duryodhan from Mahabharata and thus he is evil by character. He is somewhat larger than Bheem and hates him very much. Since he is jealous of Bheem's popularity and strength, Kalia always attempts his best to make Bheem look bad and to land him in some problem. He always chooses kids who are younger and weaker than him, such that to only prove that he is strong. All the kids often get feared of Kalia because of his mean attitude and huge body, which he uses for his own benefit.


Seven-year-old girl, Chutki, is simple, graceful and intelligent. She is Bheem's closest friend. She loves to accompany Bheem in his courageous journey and to assist him in doing good deeds that he often does. Though Chutki loves playing with the boys, but she is also exceptionally womanly where she keeps herself busy with all types of arts and household responsibilities. She has a very soft heart for Bheem and therefore always tries to allure him with delicacies. She as well helps him to steals Ladoos from her mother's sweet shop. Everybody's loves this cute little girl for her bighearted, sweet and cheerful nature.

Four-year-old cute little boy, Raju, completely looks up to Bheem and considers him as his Ideal hero. He follows Bheem where on earth he travels and loves to wrestle with him. The enemies of Raju are Dholu and Bholu, who likes picking up on him. Raju is very much brave and strong for his age, just like brave warrior Arjuna, and is among the few kids who are not afraid of Kalia Pahelwan. The father of Raju is a soldier in the King's Army, and thus he too dreams of becoming the leader of the King's Army in the future. He loves playing war games, particularly the game where Bheem is the Raja and he as the Senapathi.


Jaggu is Bheem's pet monkey and best buddy. Jaggu is a talking monkey and is of great help to Bheem each time they are in the Jungle. He always supports Bheem and accompanies him in his courageous journey and deeds. Jaggu is intelligent and a little tricky monkey who has a great wittiness type nature inside him. Jaggu and Bheem always have fun, be it in travelling around the forests or in helping out the poor people with their responsibilities. Jaggu trains Bheem on how to carry out crazy activities, and on the other side all the kids loves him for entertaining and making them laugh.

Dholu and Bholu:

Dholu and Bholu are the gutless followers of Kalia Pahelwan. They are identical twins who dresses and behaves like in a similar way. They are somewhat egotistical since they have are having a huge effect of Kalia on them. They always mess up with small kids like Raju, but fears from Bheem very much. Despite the fact they are quite lazy and avoids to carry out their responsibilities, Kalia often orders them to carry out his share of work. Dholu and Bholu and very much silly and keeps getting into dumb circumstances.


Damyaan is a Sorcerer, who was born centuries ago and ruled the town of Sonapur. An expertise in black magic and dark arts, Damyaan wants to become an undying being by using the 'Book of Magi' and desires to unleash a wave of destruction and death everywhere. Soon Damyaan cheats on Bheem and his gang, kidnaps them and orders them to the build the City of Gold.


Centuries ago, Damyaan a Sorcerer was gifted with a wish to be an undying being by the 'Book of Magi' with a condition or curse that he would be restricted to the City of Sonapur (Gold). To break out from his imprisonment and to unleash his black magic and mysterious arts over the world, Damyaan tempts Raja Indravarna with a map in the company of the guidelines to the City of Gold.

In spite of giving a word of caution from gypsies, the Raja sets out to hunt for the treasures next to in the company of Chhota Bheem and his friends. Once he reaches there, Raja unintentionally sets Damyaan free who then seizes Chhota Bheem and his friends and lands all of them in a jail.

Inside the prison, Bheem encounters with Santrik who informs and guides him that the only way Bheem can conquer over Damyaan, is to destroy him with the 'Book of Magi'.

Can Chhota Bheem and his friends will be able to defeat Damyaan, and will he succeed in getting Sonapur and Dholakpur free from evil spirits?

'Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan' is currently scheduled to release in theatres on May 18, 2012.
