Khiladi 786 Preview

The movie marks the comeback of Akshay Kumar to his eminent Khiladi film series after a long gap of 12 years. The last one which he acted in the series was 'Khiladi 420', pairing opposite actress Mahima Choudhary. The shooting of 'Khiladi 786' commenced from 2nd June, 2012, in Kamalistan Studios. During the first schedule of the movie, Akshay had courageously carried out a very risky and unsafe stunt where he jumped from a balcony of a bungalow of approximately 45 feet, without any cables, wires or body-doubles. The only thing to protect him from this dangerous jump was some mattresses and card-boxes. The action sequences in the film are being designed by Jal Singh Nijjar.

Reportedly the film is made on a budget of Rs 35 crore (USD 6.37 million). The movie is being produced by Himesh Reshammiya, Twinkle Khanna and Sunil A Lulla, under the banner of Eros International, HR Musik Limited and Hari Om Entertainment. 'Khiladi 786' is all set to release in theaters on December 7, 2012.

Short Synopsis

Mansukh (Himesh Reshammiya) has been born to an owner of a marriage bureau Champal Lal (Paresh Rawal). The poor boy has been a complete failure, from the time when he became adult and making a poor attempt to help his father in their family business. Moreover, all the relationship he had ever tried to form into a successful marriage, have been sadly resulted in separation among the couple even before their wedding took place.

Now to prove his father that he is quite worthy enough to do business, Mansukh takes up an unusual and strange challenge of getting an underworld gangster TT bhai's (Mithun Chakraborty) spoilt-brat sister Indu (Asin) marriage with a Dabangg police officer Bahattar Singh aka Khiladi 786 (Akshay Kumar) in Punjab. To add more to his troubles, Mansukh as well convinces TT bhai to act as if he is a cop.

However the story takes a turning point where little did the over enthusiast TT bhai knew that Bahattar Singh, his father Sattar Singh and his uncle Ikhattar Singh are not actually the police officers and in fact is a family of conmen. The movie takes an unusual form as both the two hardcore families of two different states (Punjab and Maharashtra), pretends to be as policemen in front of each other, where the secrets of any one of them can be revealed at any particular of time, which can be a life threatening business deal for Mansukh.

What follows next is a roller-coaster ride filled with music, romance, comedy, power-packed action and a complete dosage of entertainment throughout.
