Talaash Preview

Directed by Reema Kagti, 'Talaash: The Answer Lies Within' is a suspense thriller film starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji in lead roles. The film also features Raj Kumar Yadav, Shernaz Patel, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and others in their respective roles. Reportedly Aamir is playing the role of an Inspector Suraj Singh Shekhawat, Rani as his wife Shreya Bondre, and Kareena as a prostitute girl Rosy. Music of the film is composed by Ram Sampath, and the lyrics are penned down by Javed Akhtar.

It is being said that after finalizing the script with her best friend Zoya Akhtar, writer-director Reema had approached Aamir Khan in November 2010, and he right away agreed to be a part of it and also to produce it. Later on, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor were signed on to star opposite Khan. In November 2011, the makers of the film along with Aamir Khan had confirmed the title of it as 'Talaash'. Apparently the budget of the movie is Rs. 15 crore (USD 2.73 million).

The shooting of the film began from March 2011, and reportedly was completed till November 2011. At first the film was scheduled to release during December 2011, but then it was delayed to its tentative release date of June 1, 2012. On January 26, 2012, next to in the company of a digital poster, Talaash's first teaser trailer was aired in theatres with a positive response. However because of Khan's prior commitment plans with his debut television show, Satyamev Jayate, co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani announced that the movie would no longer be able to release on its tentative date as per planned, and would now officially release on November 30, 2012.

Shot in Mumbai, Pondicherry and London, the story of the movie has been kept strongly safeguarded right from the beginning, as Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is quite picky regarding not to reveal the storyline of his movies. However the recent rumors suggested that there are traces of the infamous Aarushi's murder case in the movie, but the makers had bluntly denied such stories by saying that they do not believe in exploiting other people's tragedies.

According to the reports, the film is all about a police officer (Aamir Khan), his housewife (Rani Mukerji), and a prostitute (Kareena Kapoor), who accidentally gets entangled in a mystery that connects their lives in an unpredicted ways.

Produced by Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the movie is made under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Aamir Khan Productions and Reliance Entertainment. Directed by Reema Kagti, 'Talaash' is all set to release in theatres on November 30, 2012.

Short Synopsis

By looking with a mirror image, Talaash is a story of lost love, deadly attraction and an ardent chase to unravel an ideal crime. Suspense at its heart, Talaash discovers Mumbai's underbelly like never-seen-before.

Aamir Khan enacts the character of an investigation police officer as Inspector Shekhawat who gets a telephonic call early morning. He gets informed about a death and an accident, where further how everything begins to disclose from here, forms the crux of the story.

The case become a life changing quest for Inspector Shekhawat when he is enforced to roll down under the consequences of his broken marital life with spouse Roshni, which is being enacted by Rani Mukerji, and eventually come head to head with his concealed sorrow.

Being on his undercover mission and battling it out with personal struggle, Inspector Shekhawat encounters with a high-profile lady prostitute Rosie, which is being enacted by Kareena Kapoor Khan, who further adds shades of mystery to the ongoing riddle and dilemma.

What just simply seems like a normal car accident investigation becomes an unforgettable journey of Inspector Shekhawat, as further investigation showcases lots of dissimilarities which were roped in with the death of victim.
