The first look trailer of Rani Mukerji starrer film Aiyyaa is out in stores, and just like its genre and one's expectation, it's indeed a wakda-tukda hilarious promo. The film would be a perfect comeback film for the supreme talented Rani, where she is seen as a complete crazy and fun-loving girl, staying with her complete wacky family.
Rani is playing as a Marathi mulgi Meenakshi, who is all set to get married at her family's be-wish, but still lives and dreams in her fantasy world. The promo initially shows how Meenakshi's family had given a print ad for her marriage, and then reveals about her actual character and crazy filmy personality. The story then soon takes a wakda-tukda turn when Meenakshi's family had somehow fixed a marriage for her with one Maharashtrian mulga, and she instead falls in love with a South Indian boy.
While Rani would be seen playing the role of a Marathi mulgi Meenakshi, Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran would be seen playing the role of a handsome drunken Tamil student.
The promo indeed looks a roller-coaster ride of hilarious situations, with Rani Mukerji's dramatic, over-dramatic and melo-dramatic performance, in its best charismatic way. It has been blended well with the nice background score and a couple of funny dialogues and tragedy turned comedy situations.
Directed by Sachin Kundalkar, Aiyyaa would be a treat to watch for Rani's fans! Produced under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, the film is presently scheduled to release in theatres on October 12, 2012.
